According to Fox News’ Sean Hannity, some of his colleagues at the network are part of the “resistance” against President Donald Trump, when asked if the network will cover U.S. Attorney John Duram’s report when he is finished investigating the investigators behind the Russian probe.
“We are hardly a channel of agreement,” Hannity said, while talking with show regulars Geraldo Riviera and Dan Bongino. “We have a few resistance people on the channel if we’re gonna be honest, Geraldo!”
The topic came up when the three were discussing foreign interference in U.S. elections, with Hannity complaining that the media only focuses on foreign interference while reporting about Trump.
“They didn’t care when (Barack) Obama tried to interfere,” said Hannity. “They have a dirty Russian dossier that was used for the 2016 election, but they only cared about Trump-Russian collusion. Now we know that in fact, a DNC contractor operative was successful, digging up dirt and sending out anti-Trump messages to impact our election. The DNC did it and we have proof and I don’t hear from any of the people that were so concerned with foreign interference.”
Riviera said he hopes it will be true that the “stuff is going to hit the fan” with Durham’s investigation, and laughed when Hannity said there is “resistance” to Trump at the network.
“I mean total resistance, not half-resistance,” Hannity commented.
“There are two truths here,” Rivera said. “There is what we are uncovering with your team, Gregg Jarrett and John Solomon and Dan Bongino and all the rest and it’s what everybody else and every other channel is talking about.”
However, earlier in the day, the network’s senior judicial analyst, Judge Andrew Napolitano, wrote in an opinion piece that Trump committed an “impeachable offense” when by pressing Ukraine’s president in a phone call this past summer to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden while withholding millions in military aid.
Other network stars, such as Shepherd Smith and Juan Williams, have also spoken out against the president in recent weeks.
